AssetWatch raises $75 million to expand AI-powered manufacturing technology

Columbus-based AssetWatch has closed a $75 million Series C funding round led by Viking Global Investors, with participation from Harmonic Growth Partners and existing investors including Wellington Management, G2 Venture Partners, Triangle Peak Partners, and Osage University Partners. This new capital brings the company’s total funding to over $100 million and positions it to expand internationally and accelerate innovation in predictive maintenance.

AssetWatch provides AI-powered predictive maintenance and condition monitoring solutions that help manufacturers detect equipment issues early, reduce unplanned downtime, and improve operational efficiency.

Why it matters

Unplanned downtime costs industrial businesses billions each year. AssetWatch delivers an end-to-end condition monitoring platform that uses AI, vibration, and oil analysis to detect mechanical issues before failure. With this round, the company plans to scale operations, build out its AI-powered analytics, and deepen its reach across manufacturing sectors both in the U.S. and globally.

What they’re saying

“Securing our Series C is more than just funding—it’s a powerful vote of confidence in our vision, our team, and the meaningful impact we’re driving in the market,” said Brian Graham, CEO of AssetWatch. “This milestone accelerates our ability to scale, innovate, and lead our industry forward.”

Behind the growth

Founded in Columbus as a spinout from Ohio State University, AssetWatch has quickly become a trusted partner for hundreds of manufacturers by offering real-time insights that cut costs and reduce risk.

What started as a smart sensor in a Midwest co-working space has evolved into a category-leading platform protecting tens of thousands of assets. The platform’s unique blend of AI, real-time expert support, and customer feedback has helped it scale rapidly.

What’s next

With this new capital, AssetWatch plans to:

  • Expand internationally into new markets

  • Advance its AI capabilities and platform functionality

  • Strengthen its go-to-market efforts across industrial sectors

  • Grow its team and partner network

The big picture

AssetWatch’s momentum reflects a broader trend in industrial tech, as manufacturers adopt digital tools to improve efficiency, safety, and uptime. As predictive maintenance matures, companies like AssetWatch are helping the sector shift from reactive to proactive operations—driving both economic and environmental returns.
