Ohio Governor Mike DeWine announced the approval of 12 new business expansion projects statewide, representing more than $2 billion in total investment and creating 1,126 new jobs, according to the Ohio Department of Development. Several of the largest announcements center on technology infrastructure, healthcare innovation, and advanced manufacturing.

Why it matters

Ohio continues to attract major tech and digital infrastructure investments — reinforcing its growing role as a hub for data centers, digital health, and advanced manufacturing. The new projects reflect momentum across both Central and Northeast Ohio, where companies are expanding to meet rising national and global demand for compute capacity and connected care.

The details

EdgeConneX (New Albany): The global data center operator will open a new multi-phase campus in New Albany, with Phase I converting 525,000 square feet into an 80-megawatt data center. Future phases will add two 72-megawatt facilities to support growth in the Columbus region. The project received a 50% Data Center Tax Exemption for 10 years and is expected to create 32 jobs and $4 million in new annual payroll.

The Constant Company (Springfield): A cloud infrastructure provider with 32 global data centers, The Constant Company plans to construct a new Ohio data center to expand U.S. operations and meet enterprise demand. The project was also awarded a 50% Data Center Tax Exemption for 10 years and will add 20 new jobs with $1.5 million in annual payroll.

AndHealth (Columbus): The Columbus-based digital health company will expand hiring and training to support demand from healthcare partners and patients managing chronic conditions. The project will add 75 jobs and $10.2 million in annual payroll, backed by a 1.901% Job Creation Tax Credit over nine years.

LayerZero Power Systems (Streetsboro): A major supplier of power switching and monitoring systems used by technology companies, LayerZero will add 535 new jobs through a 120,000-square-foot expansion of its manufacturing facility. The project will generate more than $26 million in new payroll and was approved for a 1.593% Job Creation Tax Credit over 10 years.

The big picture

From cloud infrastructure and data centers to digital health and power systems, Ohio’s latest wave of tax credit approvals underscores the state’s expanding footprint in high-growth technology sectors. JobsOhio and its regional partners say these projects will contribute to more than $73 million in new annual payroll and strengthen the foundations of Ohio’s tech-driven economy.
