JumpStart names new revenue and services chiefs
The Cleveland-based nonprofit venture development organization, has added two executives to its leadership team, naming Terri Bradford Eason as its first chief revenue officer and Daniel Brown as chief services officer.
JumpStart Inc., the Cleveland-based nonprofit venture development organization, has added two executives to its leadership team, naming Terri Bradford Eason as its first chief revenue officer and Daniel Brown as chief services officer.
Eason joined the organization Aug. 3. Brown, who has been with JumpStart since 2023, recently stepped into his new role. Both appointments are aimed at strengthening the organization's work supporting entrepreneurs across Ohio.
Eason brings more than 30 years in philanthropy, banking and relationship management to the chief revenue officer post. She joins JumpStart from the Cleveland Foundation, where she led philanthropy initiatives, gift planning and professional advisor relations. Earlier in her career, she spent nearly two decades with National City Corporation in nonprofit business services and commercial and private banking, and she helped launch and grow a digital banking platform as an executive with For Members Only Federal Credit Union.
Her nonprofit board service spans education, healthcare and community development, including roles with Say Yes Cleveland Scholarship, Recovery Resources and Cleveland Hearing and Speech Center. In her new role, Eason will lead the public, private and philanthropic support that keeps JumpStart's programs low- and no-cost for entrepreneurs growing businesses in Ohio.
Brown joined JumpStart in 2023 as an entrepreneur-in-residence and has led the organization's efforts in Stark County, building relationships across the local economic development community and launching collaborative programming. Before JumpStart, he co-founded Rust Belt Riders and Tilth Soil, worker-owned enterprises focused on food waste upcycling. Rust Belt Riders was also a JumpStart small business client, a full-circle path that now informs how he helps other Ohio entrepreneurs grow.
As chief services officer, Brown oversees JumpStart's full portfolio of services, from the Trailblazer Accelerator to ScaleReady and CapitalReady, working to ensure founders and small business owners get the support that moves their companies forward.
